COVID-19 Information

Face Masks
Face masks will be mandatory for all people while in the building. Please make sure your child is aware that their therapist will be wearing a mask.

Cleaning and Disinfecting
We are performing regular cleaning/disinfecting of our building (waiting room, talk room, playroom, offices). Playrooms and talk rooms may look different – we have removed some items so that we can more easily clean between sessions.

Physical Distancing
Only one parent with one child may enter the building for the appointment; additional family members may no longer attend. Parents will no longer wait for their children in the therapy room. We have limited scheduling to reduce the number of clients in the building at any time.

Client health questions
Your therapist will ask a series of health screening questions during your Microsoft Teams check-in. If you answer “yes” to any of these questions, you will be asked to reschedule your appointment.

  1. In the last 14 days – Have you tested positive or suspected positive for COVID-19?
  2. In the last 14 days – Has someone in your home tested positive or suspected positive for COVID-19?
  3. Are you experiencing any of the following symptoms: cough, shortness of breath, muscle aches, fever?

If you are diagnosed with COVID-19 after an appointment, please let us know so that we can protect our staff and clients. Your diagnosis is protected information and would be kept confidential.

Temperature screenings
As soon as you enter the building, a staff member will take your temperature with a no-touch thermometer. If your temperature reads at 100.0 degrees or higher, you will be asked to reschedule your appointment. If you are not feeling well, please cancel/ reschedule your appointment ahead of time.

Checking in using Microsoft Teams
We will be using Microsoft Teams for client check-in.  Please remain in your vehicle when you arrive in the parking lot. Let us know you have arrived by checking in on Microsoft Teams.

Your therapist will send you a meeting invitation by email the morning of your appointment, which will allow you to connect with them on your smartphone. It is free for you to use. If you do not have Microsoft Teams on your cellphone, please download it and practice before your appointment. Instructions are on our website under New Client Information – Microsoft Teams – From a Mobile Device.

Parent/Child Clients  – Your therapist will ask health screening questions and conduct a brief “parent check-in” over Microsoft Teams while you remain in your vehicle. Then, your therapist will meet you at the main door to let you in for a temperature screening and hand sanitizing. After that, parents will go directly to the waiting room, while your child goes with their therapist for their appointment.

Adult Clients – Your therapist will ask health screening questions over Microsoft Teams and then meet you at the main door to let you in for a temperature screening and hand sanitizing.
